The only other requirement for this enjoyment is of course a clear sky, without obstructions to signals like dense trees or buildings

The top lid of the suite case is the “Dish”, where ultimately the signals are received and collected; transferred to a wire that connects the LCD/Receiver integrated inside the case; the LCD screen can be used while still in the case or it can be removed from the case. The LCD portion of the Directv Sat-Go is the most innovative and flexible unit – it can be operated independent of the case.  This gives the facility to connect this LCD/Receiver to your Home Direct-TV Satellite Signals, compatible with any dish that Direct TV offers. And for a minimum subscription additionally, you can covert this as your Home Theater also.

The LCD screen is 17” (13.3” x 10.6”) with a maximum resolution of SXGA 1280 x 1024. The speakers built into the LCD segment are very good – even 35% of selected volume is comfortable. The unit also has a head-phone jack. There is a small remote which fits snugly inside the base of the unit. Switching on the “TV” mode, you can access TV functions like input, color settings and other status areas.

This Directv Sat-Go is a Tri-source Power Unit namely – AC power; DC power via external; and DC power via battery, giving utmost flexibility to operate the unit inside the home or an outside area. The Access card is a SIMM – just like the ones used in cellphones. Ideally the top of the suite-case is position sensitive – when lowered, it powers off the entire unit.  Therefore there is no chance of your putting the case away accidentally “ON”.
